The Toyota World Rally Team has entered five GR Yaris Rally1 cars for next month’s WRC Rally Finland.
Rally Finland’s entry list has been published on Friday. The entry list consists of 10 Rally1 cars, five of which are Toyotas.
Full-time drivers Elfyn Evans and Takamoto Katsuta are joined by both ‘part-time’ drivers Kalle Rovanperä and Sébastien Ogier. Alongside Evans, Katsuta, Rovanperä and Ogier, Sami Pajari will make his Rally1 debut at his home rally.
Toyota has nominated Evans, Rovanperä and Ogier to score Manufacturers’ points for the team.
Latvala with Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 in Rally Finland
Toyota team principal Jari Matti Latvala will compete at his home WRC round for the second time in a row. Instead of the Rally1 car last year, this year he’ll be driving a Rally2 GR Yaris.
There are no surprises at Hyundai and M-Sport. Hyundai has entered championship leader Thierry Neuville and Ott Tänak, who are joined by 2017 Rally Finland winner Esapekka Lappi. M-Sport has entered its two full-time drivers Adrien Fourmaux and Grégoire Munster.
